I was wondering if any one else is having this problem.
I have shot a bunch of footage on a Sony EX3 I haven't converted them to anything. I then import them into Premiere and don't have any issue. When view them in a list form, they stack nicely keeping them in numeric order, but if I go to a thumbnail view the order is all over the place.
I'm dealing with a ton of clips, so it takes me awhile to search for the next clip in the order in the thumbnail mode. Is there something I can do to fix this?
I'm using the newest version of CS6, on a macbook pro laptop.
Icon view is meant to allow you to sort the footage in any order you want. You move the clips around to see them in the sequence you need them, not necessarily the sequence they were shot in.
List view allows for sorting of the clips according to various parameters. If you need to sort, use List view. If you need to arrange the order manually, use Icon view.
Wierd - Same issue here. Sorry cold not find a quick answer.
Ok thanks Jim, Interesting side not when I view the folder in the Media Browser in clip view they are all in order. Would be a nice feature to have when I have already improted the files
