I am using InDesign CS5.5. I am working on a newsletter that has several pages, each page uses blue as the color of the heading. I would like to change all of the blue to a different color. Is there a way to do this all at once instead of going to each individual heading?
If you used a style to define the color you can just edit the style, otherwise, use the swatches panel by creating a new swatch for the color you want to use and deleting the swatch for the current color (if there is not a swatch for that clor, choose Add Unnamed Colors from the panel menu). You will be prompted to replace the swatch with another color. This will change ALL the places that color is use, however, so if there are actually other places you want to keep this color there's yet one more possibility. In Find/Change choose the grep tab and search for .+ and set the character color to the current color in the find options. Set the new color in the change options and change all.
Thank you so much! The 3rd solution is what I was looking for!!!
