I feel like I'm missing something really obvious, but I cannot for the life of me figure this out. I am formatting a long document and need to link to a single URL multiple times, from many different text phrases within the document. I have created a hyperlink destination, given it a name and a URL, and now want to apply it. How do I apply it? I have highlighted the text I want to be a link, but now what? If I click (or double-click) on the destination name in the hyperlinks panel, nothing happens, other than I can edit the properties of the destination.
The only way I've been able to figure out how to make hyperlinks from text is to highlight it, click "new hyperlink," and put in the URL manually every single time. Isn't there a shortcut or a way to make the link from the named destination? Isn't that the point of creating the named destination? What am I missing?
Thank you. So this means I have to click and open up the new hyperlink dialog box every time I want to apply the destination? Is there no shortcut to just click the destination from the hyperlinks panel or something? It's such a tedious process to create these links, so I guess I'm just looking for anything to speed up or automate the process.
