I have heard, from a very well placed source, the the release should be between February and April of 2008.
Wow, that's a long time after the beta times out. Does anyone know their upgrade policy? I.e., if I buy FlexBuilder 2, how much will I need to pay to upgrade to FlexBuilder 3? Or, alternately, does anyone know if there's any way to extend the life of the beta until the new version is available for purchase?
Here is a link to the blog of Ted Patrick
where the price of flexbuilder and some FAQ are answered. (seems that FB2 can now be bought for 249 $ with maintenance (including the upgrade for FB3) for 99$ )
Is there any way to extend the life of FlexBuilder 3 beta? I'm positive I want to buy FlexBuilder 3 when it's released, and am willing to pay for it now if Adobe would like. By extending the beta I will avoid having to work in FlexBulider 2 for the short period between the time my beta times out and the product is released.
I don't own FlexBuilder 2.
I am new to Flex. I got the FlexBuilder 3 beta and took a week of training. Now I'd like to get going in FlexBuilder 3. But as I mentioned, the beta times out soon, which presumably leaves a one or two month period before the product comes out. I can buy FlexBuilder 2 and upgrade, but that still means coding in FlexBuilder 2 until the new release. I guess I'm spoiled, but I'd rather just stay in version 3... It's the only version I've used.
