A Photosensitive Seizure Warning would have been appropriate for that first link, I checked it in Firefox, yow!
Seriously though, I would say junk the whole thing and use jQuery to do it. There is nothing on that site that absolutely requires the use of Flash.
If you need to convince others of the move, just visit the original, functioning site on an iphone, ipad, or number of other handheld devices where it is completely unviewable. The only thing that large group of potential customers sees is a message that the content requires flash.
Somone will likely come along and give you a jumping off point for fixing the flash you have, but it's seriously a bad decision to stay with it with so many potential viewers being left in the cold.
LOL - sorry about the seizure!!
Yeah, the site is definitely outdated and pretty out-of-control in general. The code is a mess...I want to cry everytime I look at it. But unfortunately we haven't yet convinced the client to make the switch, so I'm sort-of in a bind and need a quick fix :/ (I also have about 10 sites just like this on my hands - kill me!!!!)
Hopefully someone will have an idea for you.
If your client needs more convincing to correct the massive flaw of using a Flash only site, there are a few folks here who can add to your arsenal for that too, I'm sure they'll be along.
