1. Re: Batch copy unique titles & captions to same named files in second folder.
dj_paige Jan 23, 2013 7:11 PM (in response to INTYME1985)I have two sets of photos, the originals 1920x1080, and the reduced versions @ 640x360. I added unique titles and captions to about 300 of the 640x360 photos, and now I want to add them back to the 1920x1080 originals?
In Lightroom, you'd have to copy and paste, or better yet, synchronize the metadata in pairs. If you use a program like ExifTool, I believe you can accomplish this with one command.
However, in the future, you might want to consider adding your captions and other metadata to the originals, and then use an export preset in Lightroom to create the smaller size photos, and your captions and metadata will be transferred to the exported copies. (And then watermark in Lightroom if you want, none of this really requires PS)

INTYME1985 Jan 24, 2013 4:53 AM (in response to dj_paige)Thanks dj_paige and Rob Cole for pointing me in the right direction. I will return and post how I accomplish this task. I agree adding the metadata info to the originals before resizing, I am doing that now.
I used PS to create a new watermark for my website and then discovered Watermark factory did not produce a clean watermark. The difference was minor, but I want to correct it. I also try to be accurate with image names and the captions too.
"Perfect" LR/PS watermarking. (*.psd watermark on .jpg image.)
"Less than desired" Watermark Factory, has that noisy white stuff on edges. (*.psd watermark on .jpg image)
For reference, previous watermark using Ulead Photoimpact & Watermark Factory. (.png watermark on .jpg image.)

INTYME1985 Feb 4, 2013 1:40 PM (in response to INTYME1985)exiftool did the trick, here is the command syntax
exiftool -tagsfromfile j:\sync\1\%f.%e -xmp:all -ext jpg j:\sync\2\
j:\sync\1\*.jpg is the source directory with all the photos containing the correct metadata
J:\sync\2\*.jpg is the destination directory with the photos I updated
All photos had the same filename.
