I am logging into a secure externally hosted application webpage. It holds accounting records, while on this page there is a button that I can press that converts the page into a printable pdf format. This takes a little bit of time so I am trying to use the Adobe pluggin to convert the page instead and it is giving me a runtime error. Do you think this error is coming because the page has security that only it can convert this file? Thanks
First off, you've posted this in the Standards and Accessibility Forum -- you might get more responses in the Creating, Editing and Exporting PDF Forum see link below.
To address your question, the security issue seems a logical conclusion. Any plug-in is probably using a print to PDF workflow. I'm not familiar with this PDF plug-in, however. What plug-in are you referring to that makes PDFs from a browser window? What browser and version of Acrobat are you running?
Can you print the page? If you can't print the page directly from your browser, you probably can't use the plug-in either. Or the Adobe PDF Printer.
I just reposted this where you said it should be. it is a plugin for adobe acrobat that goes in the IE browser. I can print the page directly but not in pdf format.
