Mathias Vejerslev Jan 29, 2013 9:14 AM (in response to SusanSherman)Look into the Quick Selection Tool. In combination with Refine Edge, it is much, much better than the Extract filter.

Jeff Arola Jan 29, 2013 9:34 AM (in response to SusanSherman)If your on a windows system, you should be able to use the filters from the cs5 optional plugins in photoshop cs6.

However, i would encourage you to try and learn doing extractions with the refine edge as mentioned above.

SusanSherman Jan 29, 2013 10:31 AM (in response to Curt Y)Curt,
Watched the video, he is using CS5. Step one is use quick mask tool. Step two is select Window/Masks...problem!
When I select Window, there is no Mask option in CS6.
How do I complete this?

conroy Jan 29, 2013 10:48 AM (in response to SusanSherman)There is no Masks panel in CS6. Mask properties are now in Properties panel when a mask is targeted.
