I'm not real sure what you mean about the dummies, but if the roof is a
different model than the rest of the house, then you can simply set the
.visibility of the model to #none and it will disappear.
To make it visible again, change the visibility back to #front or #both
Oh yeah. You may want to parent the roof model to the house which will
make it rotate when the house rotates
Yeah! Parent must be what im looking for.
this is the code im using.
on exitFrame me
tak = swedish for roof and hus, yes, You´v guessd it, means house. When i use thise code i get handler not definied , #model
Am i lost in space? ;-)
Is member("shockwave") a shockwave 3d (w3d) member?
Ahhh. My mistake.. Try it like this:
Worked like a charm!
Now i just have to set the pivot ponts at the same cordinates....don´t know why, but my roof got tilted 90 degress...going to check that now.
Thank you so much for your time and help!
I tryed this to get the roof (tak) to get bak into original position...but i cant get it to work. Is it beacuse of the parent code?
on exitFrame me
object_WT = member("shockwave").model("tak").getWorldTransform()
member("shockwave").model("tak").transform = object_WT
Yes, it is due to the parent code that it is doing it. Just rotate it
by -90 degrees aon whichever axis you need to once the parent command
A little off topic, but I would recommend that if you are doing anything
intense in shockwave 3d, you should look into the 3DPI (3d property
inspector). It is free to use, though there is a popup every 15 minutes
or so unless you purchase it. It shows all the properties of all the
models, textures, lights, etc in your scene in a very intuitive way and
it is supremely helpful.
Just tried the 3DIP for about...hmm, 3 minutes. Love it!!!
Thank you so very much!
Yeah. It is well worth the price. It is among the most useful authoring
helpers out there. It really is the sort of thing that in my humble
opinion ought to be a part of Director natively.
