I'm looking to buy an iMac for video editing,
I'm wanting to know if there is likely to be support for the new iMac's Nvidia geforce gtx 680mx 2gb gddr5 graphics card soon? It seems strange that it is not in the list of supported cards for graphics acceleration with mercury playback.
I have seen ways to use the terminal to tell Premiere Pro that it is supported but I'm not keen to do this, as I'm sure there must be a reason it's not on the list to begin with, does anyone know what the risks are of telling Premiere Pro that it is supported? And if there is no risk then why is it not supported already?

Yes... it is called staff time to do the testing required for certification
MANY people use the hack http://forums.adobe.com/thread/629557 to activate MANY cards not on the list
