1. Re: Updated available to address issue with DPS and iOS 6.1
HAEME ULRICH Jan 30, 2013 11:22 AM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)Is this hotfix made on your server? So we do not have to download a new DPS App Bilder (2.5.0 is still up to date?)?
Thanks

Neil Enns - Adobe Jan 30, 2013 11:22 AM (in response to HAEME ULRICH)Correct, this was a server-side app builder update. The version of DPS App Builder client doesn't change.

Klaasjan Tukker Jan 30, 2013 2:59 PM (in response to HAEME ULRICH)The hotfix R24 build can be identified in DPS App Builder by a bundle version that looks like 2.9.2.xxx.70167 where xxx is the 'incremental build number'

ChrisPark69 Jan 30, 2013 5:49 PM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)Hi, Neil.
We have multi-issue app made of release 24, but it does not crash in my iPad 4 with iOS 6.1.
Our app is a muti-issue app,but not a newsstand app.
So maybe we don't need to rebulid app, right?

6. Re: Updated available to address issue with DPS and iOS 6.1
Bob Bringhurst Jan 30, 2013 5:54 PM (in response to ChrisPark69)That's correct. This crash bug affects only multi folio apps that make calls to iTunes—any subscription app or an app with retail content.

Martin Lér Jan 31, 2013 1:09 AM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)How long was Adobe aware of this problem with iOS 6.1?

CrossIP_VIE Jan 31, 2013 1:24 AM (in response to Martin Lér)Hi Martin,
If Adobe would have been aware of this problem, they would have been presenting a fix earlier during the beta test of iOS 6.1. But as it seems there appeared some major changes from the last iOS 6.1b4 to the GM version on monday and the immideate Release to the public on tuesday night.

Martin Lér Jan 31, 2013 1:41 AM (in response to CrossIP_VIE)Hello Michael,
from yesterdays Zeke's presentation i understood that Adobe was aware of this problem for longer time. Maybe that's why they fixed it for v25 already.
But i would really appreciate answer and comment about this situation directly from Adobe guys. I'll be glad to read it between generating of new custom viewers and begging Apple for expedited review.
BTW, iOS 6.1 sees 22% adoption in less than two days

mobly Jan 31, 2013 5:27 AM (in response to Bob Bringhurst)Hi Bob
sorry to be double checking this, but the 6.1 bug will not affect a normal multi-issue app with free and/or paid folio's as long as they are not subscribed
cheers

mobly Jan 31, 2013 9:01 AM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)Thanks. I did what Martin suggested, not sure why I resisted the idea of updating; it had to be done. Closed my eyes and opened my apps. All fine for now :-)

Martin Lér Feb 1, 2013 1:21 AM (in response to mobly)Wow, seems that Adobe have some lobbyists in Apple. Two apps approved with expedited review in cca 13 hours, other apps without expedited review are now in review.

mobly Feb 1, 2013 1:32 AM (in response to Martin Lér)Lets hope the relationship gets better! The closer we can to Apple the better, in terms of understanding their approvals etc

Kayman2010 Feb 10, 2013 12:28 AM (in response to Neil Enns - Adobe)I'm suprised Adobe hasn't sent out an email about this - I only heard about it because I watch the sprint updates. Also now that I updated I have a new bug. When subscribing the app says
"You will be charged $0.00 before each [?] unless you turn off auto renewal ..."

20. Re: Updated available to address issue with DPS and iOS 6.1
Himanshu Singh Feb 10, 2013 8:37 AM (in response to Kayman2010)@ Kayman2010: This is a bug on Apple's end. We've seen this bug on non-DPS, applications that offer free subscriptions.
Thus at this point we would have to wait for Apple to fix this Bug.
