Current testing - limit for working with chrome seems to be 850 x 571. But this is weird since others on that site are larger than that. The source images are 1600x 1075 - not the size of the stage. Increasing the size of the stage to match the images does not fix the problem
I will try to reduce the images to the stage size and below and see where that leads.

one more observation - occasionally when the page was zoomed out a bit on the browser the animation would play on safari and chrome (the two offenders)
I have updated the animation with images which match the stage size precisely. Initial testing suggests that it works now with chrome but so far on one machine tested, safari seems to run the animation but at at 1/20 the speed of the other browers.
