So, I went into Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5 and uninstalled the Index and Tabs extention (puzzle piece).
Bad move! You are not supposed to uninstall pieces of InDesign. You'll have to reinstall InDesign.
Isn't there a way to replace just that piece? It was corrupt anyway.
I tried reinstalling it with my disc and the dmg file wasn't "able to be read". Now what? Do I have to uninstall my entire suite in order to just fix InDesign?
I've also posted this in the InDesign forum.
It might not have been corupt.
Your preferences may well have got corrupted and you should have reset them and not done what you will probably never do again!!
Doubt it will work now but it's worth a go.
See here for how to.
