Hey all, I just recently got into using After Effects. I am using it for editing recordings of games that I play and posting them on You Tube. I got the jist of the program down, but I have not been able to figure this out so I am hoping that someone on here can help. What I am trying to do is import a .gif file onto the video that I have, so pretty much I want this moving image ontop of my video at a certain point. I know that AE wont let you import .gifs so is there a program where I can have it converted to a certain type of file that AE will accept and allow me to keep the moving image. I have tried a couple of different approaches that didnt work, in the end I just eneded up with a still image. If anyone can give me some imput on this, it would really help alot.
Open the GIF in Photoshop Extended and convert it to an image sequence.
Why do you think that After Effects won't import GIF files?
