Not that I know of.
With windows you could do something like this...
Run a vbs script to set a variable in Photoshop with the number of fonts...
Once you have done that you can query the var ..
VSscripting finally has it uses! Yay!
app.fonts.refreshFonts() will pick up the new fonts from a running Photoshop. Added in version 12.0.
It's been a while for VB ans I.
In CS2 i get the error
" Error 24: $.setenv is not a function.
-> $.setenv(SysFonts, 126);
Ah, I don't think $.setenv(); was available with CS2.
You could write the results to a file and then read that in.
(app.fonts.length) //returns 315
MsgBox count REM returns 126
Not sure why though. Counting font families and not individual files?
Have you got any Adobe fonts only in:-
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts
Yes, 182 of them in there! Which leaves 7 unaccounted for.
Seems as though we have different counts for everything.
VBScript gives me 212
Photoshop gives me 478
system\fonts folder gives me 646 files
I think we need to frame your question differently. Is the font you are looking for usable in Photoshop?
