if you have a movieclip in that single frame just put a stop(); command at the end of the movieclips timeline. that will make it only play once.
The stop() command is already at the end of the movieclips timeline.
My problem is that this flash header appears on every page. Each time a new page loads the flash header plays from the beginning. The header includes a play button at the end of the movie. My goals is to have the movie available upon request on every page, but only forced to play on the home page.
I have seen code that is supposed to time the visitors visit, and only play after a certain period of time... I have also seen code that looks for a file name that includes ?par=skip (example: header.swf?par=skip) and plays the last frame vs. the first frame... Neither of these work though :-(
could you just have a different flash file for the other pages? maybe one that didnt have the animation unless you pressed the button?
I could do that, but I was hoping there was a solution... I have several sites that have flash banners, and would love for it to be in the coding :-) vs. changing all of the flash files.
