Trouble with Downloading

I tried to download the Adobe Reader and Flashplayer but it said " Can't contact reliable source."  What does this mean and what should I do?

Hard to say as you do not mention where you are downloading from. Try downloading from here:

http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
