Probably not. Just like any of these proprietary CoDecs, this would require the pertinent software/ hardware to be installed and if Matrox themselves do not provide a software-only version for Mac that could be used, there's no way to do this directly. Simply use one of the other generic output formats.
I would render a Quicktime movie in the PNG codec. It's lossless. Then I'd transcode. The Matrox people ought to have something that will do the trick.
