    Adobe X Pro crashes frequently

    AZ Gal Community Member

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium with Adobe X Pro.  Adobe crashes when I have multiple Adobe documents open that I am reviewing for comments.

It seems like Adobe gets "overwhelmed" with having multiple (2 or 3) documents open and being modified (comments replied to, status of comments changed).

I also have Word 2010 open as I am making corrections to the source document based on the comments.

It's frustrating that this very expensive program misbehaves.  And don't tell me to upgrade to the latest version.

How much free hard drive space do you have? How much RAM? What is the size of the files?  What other backround processes are you running (anti-virus/spyare others?) I have found that certain antispyware and antivirus software caused all sorts of problems. Which is when I switched to Microsoft Security Essentials which I found caused fewer issues.

My computer is more than adequate for the job, that's not the isse.

Here's something more specific.  When this crash happened I had Outlook 2010, Internet Explorer, Word 2010 and Acrobat X Pro open.

I had "1" Acrobat document open that has over 250 comments.

I'd done an advanced search for a term so the search window was open

when I went to edit one of the comments to indicate it was "completed" I got this crash dump

Well, we must focus on authplay.dll file which is causing the crash.

-> Check if you have updated the program to 10.1.5 version.

-> Try repairing the program from the control panel > program and features.

-> If these fails, we can try to replace authplay.dll file and then try to launch.

              Regards,
