I thought that once you have exported the slices and saved the file,
that file will then export to the same location each time.
I thought so too. I just did another test to be sure and that does not work.
- I exported a slice (and it shows me my "desktop" directory);
- I located the directory I wanted;
- After exporting, I saved;
- I went back to the same slice, right-click, export, and once again it shows me the "desktop" directory and not the one I had selected.
Same issue here, any idea to solve this?
I know it doesn't really help you much, but I tried your steps Tars, and it worked perfectly.
I tried on another pc, I found this issue both on Fw8 and CS3
You have to export the entire design to the correct folder before you can use the right-click functionality. If you want to avoid exporting everything, select a particular slice, then click FILE -> EXPORT. From there adjust your settings so your exporting images only, and mark the box "export selected slices only". Click save.
Now, when you use the right-click "export selected slice" it'll remember the correct location.
That's it! You've made my New Year! Many, many thanks. This will save me A LOT of time in the coming months... again, much obliged.
