Do you have any custom 404 page under /apps/sling/servlet/errorhandler/404.jsp ? If so please verify the logic there.
You can ignore those messages, if you want to disable the corresponding bundle (org.apache.sling.samples.path-based.rtp) you can do that via Apache Felix Webconsole, and eventually you can remove it from the repository. Please verify first from your local envirnoment.
Thank you very much for the help.
I have verified te logic in 404.jsp and it does not provide any pointers about the error. Is there anything specific I should look into 404.jsp?
Also, can you please let me know what would be the impact of disabling the bundle org.apache.sling.samples.path-based.rtp?

If the issue is reproducible everytime for 404. Then rename the file and verify. If issue get resolved then check the code in 404 one by one.
The bundle provides a configurable path-based sample resource type provider. The org.apache.sling.samples.path-based.rtp is no longer bundled with CQ 5.4 onwards. In case your custom code that depends on path-based resource type provider it might fail. That is why asked to verify first in development envirnoment first.
Thank you very much for the excellent inputs.
How do I check if custom code depends on path-based resource type provider?
After deleting. Your bundles might not be resolved
