OK, I've recently run into a problem that I don't know how to resolve. Basically, every time I go to change a value on any type of layer, the layer does not update until after I let go of the left mouse button. Example: If you change the value of the layer's opacity, using your mouse, not typing in an actual percent, the layer normally changes instantly, as you move the mouse, changing the opacity value. This also occurs with the position of a layer when I try to move it. Where you see the word "text" is where the original position is, and the white box on the right is where I am moving the layer. (The attached screen shot shows this) I've been using AAE CS5.5 for about a year and a half, and I've never had this happen. This occurs whether or not the layer is in 3D mode, and regardless if there is a camera in the composition. How do I fix this?
You toggled the Live Update switch to its OFF setting. I'm not absolutely positive where it is in AE 10.5, but I THINK it's in the drop-down menu hidden in upper-right of the comp window. Or you could look in AE's Help, too.
