I have two files.   One is a completed greeting card layout.   I have a new photo

I scanned in as a tif file.  I want to duplicate it into th existing card file to see how it

            looks.

When i place it or duplicate the layer of the new photo into the card file the

new layer in the existing card file imports in as green.  The old layers stay the same

            color as before.

Try opening the tiff or a saved jpeg version and then use File >> Open to open the greeting card. Drag the tiff image from the project bin directly into the main editing window and drop it on top of the greeting card.

Use the layer stack (Window >> Layer) to drag the tiff above or below other layers to see how it looks. Also check to see if a blend mode is being used other than normal, which may have an effect on how the tiff will look.
