    binarydecode format

    rgurganus Level 1

I'm working on translating some CF to PHP, and need to decipher the binarydecode() function.  I have CF that takes a string of hex, uses "binarydecode(GIF,'Hex')", and then outputs that as a GIF image to the browser.  I'm having trouble understanding exactly what format this function is returning, so that I can reproduce the same output in PHP.

When I output the function to the screen, I get gibberish, or if I <cfdump> it, I get something like "717370565797-182351-900000-26-10-1-95-95-95-122"  (truncated).  So it's not straight binary (1's and 0's), but something else?

      Thanks.
