Have you ensured that this photo is no larger than 2000x1500 pixels in size?
Where or from what program did this file come?
Does the jpg open in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements?
If yes, resave the file with a new name and see if that works (doing any size reduction at the same time, as Steve says)
It is rare, but the "header" information in a jpg can become "partially corrupted" (my term... may not be 100% correct) and opening/saving in a photo editing program will often fix
Thanks. Well all the program needed was a good nights sleep because I can import the graphic this morning. Who knows what I was doing wrong last night. Yes, it was small enough 300x200.
I'm still getting used to using APE 11. Your book is a great help. One thing that was annoying is the almost invisible scissor icon the the CTI. It took a while for my old eyes to see it.
