Welcome to the forum.
What is the Project Setting, that you chose at New Project?
What are the full details of the MOV files from the iPhone?
Also, later iPhones will shoot with variable FPS Frame Rates, and those can really cause an issue with Premiere Elements and Pro, as well.
The workaround has been to Open those variable FPS files in QT Pro (US $ 39 upgrade/unlock), then just Export from there.
Good luck, and please let us know a bit more.
I would also take a look at this thread, especially the links in John T's Reply: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5050952#5050952
I forgot to ask, what version of Apple's QT do you have installed?
The project setting was the default NTSC-DV-Standard 48khz. Here is an example of the full details of a MOV file, although this is one that I was able to import. I checked some others and they had Frame Rates of 30. I have an iPhone 4s. So, when you say the variable FPS Frame Rates cause issues, what type of issue would I expect to see during the process? I was really hoping to not have to spend more money after just buying this computer. Thanks for your help!
It doesn't appear that I have Quick Time installed on this computer.
Thanks for the links. After reading through them, I guess I'll download the free QuickTime 7, open each of my files and Save As Reference. Then cross my fingers. Thanks!
I see now why you said QuickTime Pro. QuickTime 7 doesn't allow me to do that.
