SteveIsHere Feb 21, 2013 10:35 AM (in response to Curt Y)Thanks Curt.
Checking the box searches the subfolders (which also happens if you enter the search time in the Search box on the toolbar), but the results are still displayed as folders that you need to navigate into (rather than displaying all the files that were found in the "flat" format which is what the "Show Items from Subfolders" menu command does).

Curt Y Feb 21, 2013 11:00 AM (in response to SteveIsHere)Little confused here. When I do a search the results from all the folders and subfolders are on one page. Are you saying the search results you get are presented by folders?

4. Re: Why is "Show Items from Subfolders" disabled during search?
SteveIsHere Feb 21, 2013 12:04 PM (in response to Curt Y)My mistake! Thanks Curt. The folders do appear and I've been navigating into them, but I realize the "found" files all appear below the list of folders, too. And if I uncheck View > Show Folders, the folders are removed and I see all of the files I was looking for. Apologies for my confusion (I've been using another tool and trying to adjust to Bridge).

Curt Y Feb 21, 2013 12:32 PM (in response to SteveIsHere)No problem, we all get into a groove and sometimes it just takes a hint from an outsider to get a new look at issue.
