I need help from somebody to create a new document in A6 format as that format is not available in create a new document in Indesign. Choosing seize of my new document myself is not either very useful to me since I don't how to convert the "p" to the metric system. Please, help somebody!
I am a beginner to Indesign and my intent is to create a flyer.
You can change your default units in this way: With NO DOCUMENTS OPEN, open preferences (InDesign > Preferences on a Mac, or Edit > Preferences in Windows). Click on Units and set your default units. This will apply to all new documents.
Then when creating the A6 size, enter a custom size for A6.
In addition to what Steve has said, you can enter measurements in any units in InDesign, as long as you specify the units, and ID will automatically convert them to the current ruler system. So if you have inches or Picas set, you can enter metric units just by typing the number followed by mm.
You have solved my problem, thanxs for your quick help!
