Hi there! Because the forum you originally posted in is for beginners trying to learn the basics of Photoshop, I moved your question to the Photoshop General Discussion forum, where you'll get more specialized help.
However, the detials you provided are not sufficient enough for us to help you. Please read through this article and provide any additional relevant details including:
- Adobe product and version number
- Operating system and version number
- The full text of any error message(s)
- What you were doing when the problem occurred
- Screenshots of the problem
- Computer hardware, such as CPU; GPU; amount of RAM; etc.
Did you install the updates for Photoshop?
. It is the trial version of Photo Shop CS6 that I downloaded last week from the web site.
. PC laptop AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core processor 1.70 GHz 32 bit operating system
. Says that a problem has occured and that Photo Shop needs to shut down.
. The first time this occured when I selected the brush icon. Then the brush would work after starting over and another tool would not work.
Somehow I was able to select any of them without a problem. Afterwords I selected, under IMAGE an effect when the program stopped again.
. What comes up after closing out the program Windows brings up a Data Execution Prevention warning.
. 1918 RAM, Windows Vista Home Basic,
No I just downloaded the trial version last week.
Download and install the updates for Photoshop. You're using a very old build if you haven't installed the updates.
