I was hoping it was something new in 13.0.4, but no, it's the same old exposure adjustment as in earlier Ps.
I guess it's ignored by 99 percent of Ps users. I've occasionally used it to adjust 32 bpc renderings and to amplify a difference blend of layers when experimenting with things. There's a little description of its controls in the manual.
Thank you for your replies. Yes, I have seen that litlle bit in the manual. I have never been able to produce anything helpful with this adjustment. I was wondering if I was just missing some important trick or useful secret.
Nothing new, I am afraid.
I use it on 32 bit floating point astroimage data - and it's cousin, that we see when we use Image - Mode to switch to 16 bits/channel from 32.
For integer data formats Curves is your most flexible control, in my opinion.
