runningvincent Feb 24, 2013 6:40 AM (in response to Bob Levine)hi Bob thank you for the quick reply, but this function is not what I mean. The background playing I talked about is not playing the audio across folio which the current viewer supports. What I mean is something you see when you use Pandora, or the defaul music player in iOS, you can turn off the screen, and the sound still goes. So the user don't have to look at the screen while they are listening to the books. Currently, when you play anything in the viewer, the screen has to be on.

4. Re: Add background audio playing in v.26?
runningvincent Feb 24, 2013 6:55 AM (in response to Bob Levine)magazines with lots of multi-media such as the National Geographic magazine, background playing is important. For example, in the March issue of NG, there is an article has a 34 minute audio, you has to disable the auto-lock screen on your iPad in order to listen to the text with out interrupted as the screen becomes dark. I think most user want the screen to be turned off while she or he is listening to an audio.

alehnhar Feb 27, 2013 11:20 AM (in response to Bob Levine)Hi Bob,
I cannot get the audio loop to work properly not sure what I am doing wrong. I want to loop a short audio (music loop) in the background accross my folio. I have the sound on the first page with custom control for on and off. I have the box checked for loop in th Interactive->Media as well as the box checked for 'Play in Background Across Folio' and AutoPlay in the Folio Overlays... But still, when viewed in the content viewer the Music Loop comes on and works fine with the controllers but only plays once.... should'nt it loop??? Please help,
Thanks,
Priscilla

alehnhar Feb 27, 2013 8:04 PM (in response to Bob Levine)Hi Bob,
Inside the Folio Properties it is set to v23, but on the my iPad the content viewer is v25. Would that be the issue...?

Bob Levine Feb 28, 2013 5:25 AM (in response to alehnhar)Do you have the revised version 25 desktop tools installed. The initial release had a lot of bugs but I'm not sure this was one of them.

Andrea Spinazzola Mar 3, 2013 9:17 AM (in response to alehnhar)This is one of the most incomprensibile things that happen in DPS.
This is not a Bug because if it was bug would mean that this options doesn't work properly.
In this case this options dosen't work at all.
This options was released in version 23 and now we are at version 25...
No one at the developer team test it before delivering?
Is it really possible?
I can't belive.
I work every day with DPS, and I was one of the first in Italy, I love this solution but sometimes is very difficult to justify.
Tomorrow I have to register some video-tutorial on new features in DPS... what should I say?

12. Re: Add background audio playing in v.26?
Bob Levine Mar 3, 2013 9:35 AM (in response to Andrea Spinazzola)The same thing I do.
DPS is not perfect but it's still a damn good solution. Given it's rapid
development with tools being updated every 6-8 weeks, be prepared to
work around various bugs and feature limitations.

troykyo Sep 20, 2013 12:13 PM (in response to Bob Levine)I teach this at university. Do you have any idea how hard it is to teach something that changes that fast? This is he real Wild West for Adobe. I wish they had better designers.

troykyo Sep 20, 2013 12:24 PM (in response to Andrea Spinazzola)I agree, I really wish that Asobe would test their own stuff before releasing another DPS version that doesn't work ie. 16 workaround a in a single finished document.
