I think this should work
oh man! you're a genius!! I'm indebted to you forever. Thanks man!
Your code works. I just changed the target movieclips' syntax to eval.
loadMovie("jets/" + myVars["mySwfname" + i] + ".swf"), eval("_root.my_movieclip" + i));
thank you so much! ^_^
No problems, you're welcome.
I think the eval should do the same thing as what I had. I can't remember, I don't tend to use eval in flash - don't really know why. I think loadMovie also accepts a string argument (which I assume it 'evals') for a target in which case it may also work without the eval and just with ,"_root.my_movieclip" + i; (didn't try it so don't know for sure).
Good luck with it.
hi again, i just want a follow-up question.
I know that xml would really do well with this, but I'm just starting with xml and still have a little idea about it. How do i call an element from a dynamically named _global array? I created a _global array dynamically and i just need to call an element from the list whenever i need to. Appreciate it. :)
Here is the code.
try changing this part:
And again GWD never ceases to amaze me. Thanks a lot man!
Btw, I'm making a flash game that loads player details from mysql. I feel like I owe that to you, at least.
Thanks again. =)
No problems. Happy to help. Good luck with your project.
