Why doesn't the latest update of Adobe Flash work well?

Well for me it doesn't.

This is my 3rd time downloading it, it'll eventually stop working again like it did the first two times and I'm going to have to reinstall it again.

I went to see if I still had it by going to: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html

I see the moving red dot, but in step two, everything in red is blurry/faded.

Shows which version I have, but I can't find it anywhere on my computer. I have the latest version.

Also every website that I visit that supports flash tells me to update to the newest version, which I ALREADY HAVE.

What can I do?

What is your Flash Player version?  ("latest" means nothing.)
