Moving this discussion to the Installing Flash Player forum.
Please navigate to the "about:flash" page in Chrome's address bar and paste the contents of the page displayed into a reply. I'll take a look and see if I notice anything out of place. By default, Chrome ships with it's own version of Flash Player, so installing your own won't have an effect unless you specifically tell Chrome to use the system's version.
Having a similar problem since I installed the latest version of Flash (11.6.602.171). No Flash media will play in my browser.
The problem is critical as I am working with Adobe Connect which is now broken because of this.
Ran uninstall. Reinstalled. No change.
Ran Adobe's uninstall tool, followed procedure, reinstalled, no change.
Ran uninstall tool again, followed procedure, installed earlier version of Flash player, no change.
Repeated previous step several times installing different earlier version of Flash Player. No change.
It is definitely enabled within my browsers.
Our corporate tech support also looked at this, but could not find a solution.
Got it fixed, went into the chrome adobe plugins and enabled the quick time which was one of two files that required to be active.
