    What types of tutorials would you like to see?

      Hey, guys-

      So this is probably opening the proverbial can of worms, but I'm curious to know what types of tutorials you'd like to see, whether in blog posts or in books.  I found myself this past week referring to the single blog post I made in July about multiple symbols and state management, and I know there have been a lot of people commenting on that particular post saying that it was very helpful for them to ramp up on Animate.  So, I started thinking... what would help the community the most?

      Let us know what you guys think!

      (BTW, this is all with the caveat of "no promises" - we in engineering are pretty swamped with trying to get the newest features out for the next release of Animate!)

          Here are some thoughts.

          I am currently looking for Animate examples to replicate some of the work done in past Flash work.

          -Example of setting up a map, say a state, with counties being their own div. Easy way to do this.

          Are there any new options aiding the export of layers from Illustrator into individual SVGs. Maybe there would be a separate application some where that could literally chug through an Illustrator file and spit out each layer.

          -How to import xml file set up with arrays and calling the information through looping in Javascript. How would this differ in Javascript rather than Actionscript 3.

          -Examples of conditional statements in use.

          I find it very helpful to dig through source files/coding to understand how everything relates and acts.

          Thanks for asking.

            Hi Elaine.

            Thank you to help us so generously.  I would like to see :

            Drag and drop + next button appear only after all drag and drop items are combined in edge animated 2014cc?

            Thank you!

              Hi Elaine, according to me in Adobe Edge there is a a big problem in preload immediate and polite...there is no difference

              in teory in immediate it would just load codes and show the page, but in polite it would make sure to load code and all of other things like image and then show the  page, and this would take mutch longer than immediate..

              I work with compositon composed by 10-30 image and when i publish my composition in immediate or polite mode the loading time is the same, because the page is showed only after that the browser download all code and image......translated in terms of time the results is a very slow loading...i have inspected the composition with all browser and i see that the page is showed  only after that code and image of composition are downloaded....i have found a solution to this because i'm very frustated , but i think it must be resolved in Adobe edge !

                Hello uboss84,

                Elaine has left the Animate team 1 year ago so she will not be answering your question.

                I would encourage you to load your images with yepnope. You can use this but change your image names of course:

                yepnope({

                nope:[

                'preload!images/nameimage1.jpg',

                'preload!images/nameimage2.jpg',

                'preload!images/nameimage3.jpg',

                'preload!images/nameimage-4.jpg'

                ]

                })

                I will have a tutorial soon about parse.com and Edge Animate. You might want to check that out depending on whether you would like to have cloud support or not.

                  I use this solution...

                  var imageCount_image = 1;

                  for(var i=1; i<17; i++){

                  //Set the attribute to the correct photo

                  sym.$("image_"+imageCount_image).attr('src', 'images/ALBUM_02/album2_'+imageCount_image + '.jpg');

                  imageCount_image ++;}

                  what is the best solution "yepnope" or change src with jquery?
