How do I import all my iPhoto photos into Revel on Mac

I am unable to import all of my iPhoto pictures (28,000) into Adobe Revel. Every time I select a large number of photos from the import option, it stops trying to import after about 2600 photos. If I select a smaller number of photos (< 1500) it skips some photos so not all of the photos are imported. I see more photos in iPhoto for an event than I see in Revel. I'm running the latest Mac os (10.8.2) and the latest version of Revel from the app store (1.9). I've tried uninstalling the Revel and rebooting the computer, but nothing seems to work. Please help!!!
