If you have admin access on your CQ server then access then go to workflow area from welcome page, there you will the instances tab, when you go there you will see all the running workflow instances. Once you select anyone of them, either by right click or on same page you will see the option to terminate running workflow instance.

Thanks for your reply . I was looking if workflow could be brought to completed status programmatically, that is from java code.
I think it is possible only to terminate the workflow (aborted status) and not to completed status. kindly share if you have any idea.
