I was trying to pass html content to the email body, but looks like it is not doing that.
var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest('mailto:');
var variables:URLVariables = new URLVariables();
variables.body = '<b>hello</b>';
request.data = variables;
request.method = URLRequestMethod.GET;
request.contentType = "text/html";
current output inthe email: <b>hello</b>
Expected result : hello
Please let me know if anybody knows the solution
Note: I even tried these but didn't work.
variables.body = encodeURIComponent('<b>hello</b>');
Does the mailto spec say it is possible? I didn’t think so. I think folks send mail from the server instead.
is there any other object or an alternative solution available in Flex or AIR to do this from client side. my goal is, open the system default email client and pass the html content to it's body.
In AIR you should be able to write a native extension to do just about anything.
