I'm trying to create an app demo in Edge. I've got a series of storyboards, each of which is its own symbol.
For example, I start with a screen with two buttons, A and B. If I click A, I load Symbol A, and likewise for B.
Symbol A and Symbol B each have a series of screenshots that I want the user to click through, via invisible buttons inside Symbol A and B's respective timelines.
Problem is, I can't get those buttons inside the symbols to even register a custom cursor, let alone get the actions to work. It's as if the mouseover isn't even registering, let alone the click.
Any ideas? Surely Edge is capable of embedding a button within a symbol to control that symbol's independent timeline?
Okay, I figured it out — turns out to be very simple.
I had an iPhone bezel png sitting on top of the screenshots. It has a transparent viewport. Apparently Edge will not let you click a button behind a transparent image!
You could probably change the z-index for your button to be on top when a certain event happens and then go back on the bottom when an other event occurs, etc...
