Flash Player 11.6, Firefox, Assertion Failed

I installed flash player 11.6 for FireFox, but it is unusable.  Any attemp to view flash content results in an error message:

Assertion Failed

Can anyone advise me on this matter?

Have you by any chance installed the debug version of Flash Player?
