    plugs in

    Level 7
      Hi,

i built several effect (animation or classes) under CS3/AS3.
i'm quite a rookie under Flash and i would like to know if there is a
way how to create plugs in or something what could help me to create my
own effect, without retyping everything under Flash cs3.

for example, if i have a hand writing animation under CS3, i would like
for the future, just to create a new symbol and apply this effect
(without re-doing the same old work...i mean Ctrl-B, and erase each
      letter one-by-one, and so on...)

      thanks a lot,

      RAF

I don't know exactly what you want to do, but if you want to extend flash (the authoring tool) in a plug-in type way then you can do it by writing jsfl extensions.

If that's what you want to do then read through the docs here:

          http://livedocs.adobe.com/flash/9.0/main/00003797.html#wp467561

If you want to package your classes as components, that's different, but should also be covered off in the help docs. It is for as2, I haven't looked for as3.

in fact, i can detail it a little.

let's say that i would like to create an effect (fade in/out)

instead to create this effect everytime that i need it, i would like to
have something ... let's call it "plugs-in like" (as under Photoshop)
            that i could re-use when i want.

for example, i place a symbol on my layer.
after i could select "effect" from the menu and select fade in/out effect.
by selecting that, Flash CS3 should display me a simple form where i can
setup the speed of fade in/out, or/and the alpha, and so on...

i would like to make my FLash CS3 more user friendly by that... and
            reduce my development steps :-)

            is it clearer?
