1. Re: Pricing and Function Questions
Aegis Kleais Mar 15, 2013 4:08 PM (in response to Aegis Kleais)I looked it over, and the following programs are really the only ones I'm interested in:
Photoshop (Extended if available)
Illustrator
Dreamweaver (really wish they'd integrate CF Builder function into this)
Acrobat Pro
I was looking at their Edge tools, and some seemed cool: Animate, Reflow, Inspect, Typekit/WebFonts. But that's pretty much it.
I saw that they offered per-product subscription pricing, but at $15/mo/app, even that would easily go over $50/mo. Don't get me wrong, if I wanted Master Suite, $50/mo is a freaking steal, but it just seems geared more towards school/studio pricing than individuals.

Tyler White Mar 18, 2013 12:37 PM (in response to Aegis Kleais)I imagine Adobe will offer more pricing structures as the Creative Cloud system develops. It is still very much in the early stages, from what I can tell.
To one of your earlier questions - no, it is not cloud computing. The Adobe software is installed on your local machine. The cloud part comes in with cloud storage options and access to some online software (such as Typekit).
Hope this helps!

3. Re: Pricing and Function Questions
Aegis Kleais Mar 18, 2013 1:25 PM (in response to Tyler White)Here's to hoping so. I can understand that early on, Adobe's data received by the community can be used as a metric to adjust features and ensure the success of the ACC. I'm on CS5 Video Production right now, and I'd like to upgrade to a Web/Design Premium CS7 (mid 2014), since I am slating to have a new PC in January of 2014.
I just hope some kind of "Save as you go" system can be put in place. I can see myself spending $20-$25/month to have the latest versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Acrobat as well as some select ACC-apps and services. That way, I don't have to do this "every other version upgrade" and can stay on the latest when 7.5, 8, etc. roll out.
