I want to make an interactive presentation in InDesign CS6 and put it online. I created several pages, added transitions, animations etc and exported to SWF, put them online and it worked.
However, one part of my presentation requires fill-in-the-blanks kind of form with submit button. Each time I create those text forms and export them to SWF, they simply don't work. But they work if exported into PDF, which, ironically, I don't need at this point
Can anyone please advise?
Unfortunately InDesign's form elements are not supported in exported SWF. They are PDF form elements as you noticed. I think only way to add form to SWF presentation exported from InDesign is to create form in Flash Professional, export it as SWF and File>Place that SWF into proper page in InDesign. One quite good tuorial about creating forms in Flash: http://www.republicofcode.com/tutorials/flash/as3contactform/
Thank you Petteri, this is very helpful
