I'd guess you have the wrong password configured in your authoring instance. If you changed the default admin password on your publish instance you need to make sure you also set up that password in you replication agent in author.

If your passwords are correct I'd check the logs on your publish instance to see if there are any errors in error.log when you send the test. I am assuming this can't be a network problem since you are pointing at localhost as the server name so you much have both the author instance and the publish instance on the same box.

            Hi orotas,

I have checked the password. The password is ok. This is the error when I click on " Test connection".

              Hi ,

I think Author agent credentials are not matched with publish instance credentials. please verify again.

To verify try to Login on publish instance. let's see if agent configuration credentials work in publish instance as well.

              Thanks,

              Jitu tomar

do you know why I got this message " Cannot serve request to /content/census/en/test.html on this serve" in Publish sever.

I create the page in the author then active the page . In the pubish sever , I open that page then I got the message "  Cannot serve request to /content/census/en/test.html on this serve" .

Anyone can help me.. I try to work on Replication. What step do I need to do.. I follow some document on internet but not help much..

                Thank you very much.

                  Hi Jenny

You get the message "Cannot serve request ..." because the page test.html is not available in the publish instance. That means replication is failed. You need to fix replication issue first.

For replication return a 403 Forbidden in response to a request from a author indicate that the server refuses to allow the requested action. In other words, the server can be reached, but the server declined to allow the requested access. As other recommended

                  *    Might be a wrong user/id & password configured in replication agent.

                  *    You might have some firewall settings etc not passing authorization header.

                  *    There is some permission issue at publish instance.

This is simple use case & should work, You can file a daycare ticket to get official help.

                  Thanks,

                  Sham

                    HI,

How do I know publish instance has enough permission?

                    Thanks

                      Hi Jenny,

Is the agent id configured in replication agent at your author instance is admin OR different user?

                      Thanks,

                      Sham
