I have this inside a for loop and pull strings from an array
myDefs += unescape(across[i]);
myDefs += '\r';
//this works perfectly (shows the text with the carriage returns)
//this is not working at all (shows the text all together)
Any clue? I tried with .html(myDefs); also and it is not working.
Remember that what goes into the html() tag is actual HTML, which means that your carriage return means nothing. Try encasing your text in <p></p> tags or insert a <br /> tag instead.
Hope that helps!
Thank you Guardian Angel of Adobe Edge Heaven! It worked as a charm! Thanks for the quick response.
