CS6 starts many gpusniffer processes that continuously use CPU

I don't have an Nvidia card (ATI Radeon 6670). After working with CS6 for a few hours, there will be 15 or so gpusniffer.exe processes running in the background, each consuming 2-20% CPU. They continue to run after closing CS6. Since I don't have a supported GPU anyway, is there any way to disable the gpusniffer probe altogether?
