When using the font "Garamond Premier Pro", why is it that when I type a word that begins with the letter "Q", the Q has a really long tail on it? For example, when typing the word "Quality", the tail of the Q extends out all the way to the "a". Could this be a ligature issue?
No, it's called a "contextual alternate;" it's Functioning As Designed. Turn it off in the OpenType menu.
Thank you so much! I completely overlooked the OpenType menu and also I didn't know what it was called.
No problem! It's the first thing I do when I start working with Garamond Premier Pro - looks great in some circumstances, but having it turned on by default is a bit much for me.
