    Problem importing

    rfenton

I have Premiere Pro CS6. I'm editing a rather large programme. I have imported 323 video files, 12.6GB. These are .MTS 1920x1080. No problems. Now I need to import 126 still pictures. JPGs at 4000x3000 but it will only import the first 37 files after that I get an error message. Is there a size restriction? How can I get over it? Windows 7 SP1 16gb memory.

          Is there a size restriction?

          Excerpt:

"The maximum frame size that can be imported for still images

and movies is 256 megapixels, with a maximum dimension

of 32,768 pixels in either direction."

...it will only import the first 37 files after that I get an error message

Are you sure files 38-126 are intact?

Are you able to import them individually?

Are all of your images RGB (not CMYK)?

What the program SHOULD do is not always what it does when it comes to picture size

Pictures that are "overly" large cause video editing problems

Thank you for your response to my query, but I must give you my apologies. If only I had investigated a bit deeper instead of panicking I should have solved my own problem. While abroad I copied each night my stills to my lap top. When I returned home a couple of days ago I copied them from lap top to memory stick and then memory stick to big computer. For some reason that I can't at present understand all pictures from 37 upwards became corrupt. I have since re-copied from lap top and Premiere Pro happily introduced them without any complaints. Thanks for your help.
