While running preflight, I discovered that many of my images no longer have proportional scaling. I assume I accidentally lifted the Shift key while resizing the images/frames.
The Links panel shows the non-proportional scaling:
However the transformation panel shows that the scaling is linked and 100%:
Is there a way to restore the proportional scaling? Seems like I could unlink the height/width and relink, or something similar, to "snap" it back to proportional. FWIW, all of the images have been rescaled and cropped.
Select the image, not the frame, to see the actual scaling (you can do that in a variety of ways, but double-clicking is pretty fast). You have many options, then, for how you choose to deal with it, copy/paste, for example, the scale value from one field into the other, or my favorite which is to just click one of the nudge arrows to go to the next full percent value up or down (this will change the cropping very slightly, but if you need to keep the same frame shape that's going to change anyway). If the fields are linked they'll take the same value.
Perfect! Thanks Peter.
