Any chance of Adobe updating the tutorial videos for BC?

    CWLMedia Community Member

      Hi all,

I'm a new premium partner with BC and am, I guess you could say, an amateur web designer.
Having only just started with BC, I'm really struggling with getting everything set-up etc.
Part of the issue is I just don't seem to be able to find things - even when following the tutorial videos.

I guess the problem there is that the tutorial videos don't seem to have been updated in a long, long time and the presentation of the platform has changed since the videos were made.

Surely I'm not the only one who thinks partners (certainly newbies) would benefit greatly from updated/new tutorial videos? Anyone else think this would be a good idea? Anyone else struggling to get started? Anyone want to offer some assistance/guidance with getting familiarised with BC?

            Hi,

Yeah, I'm gonna give BC Gurus a go - was already considering it, but I just felt a bit slighted by Adobe not keeping their videos etc. up to date with the product they're selling. Would be useful if all their help documentation and tutorial blurb were clearer and more straight-forward in terms of presentation (ie, not presented like "now you have to find this in order to do this, and when you do, you can do this")..

For newbies it can just seem a little daunting when you're sent on a wild goose chase for a simple feature you were promised in the pre-sale blurb... If that makes sense?

Surely you agree it would be beneficial to everyone? If things were kept up to date and consistent with the changes to the product? Anyone else think this would be useful?

Of course I agree .... but it is what it is.

                Indeed.

I find it interesting that unlike other forums on Adobe's site, there's no "ideas" section to post suggestions for improvement in BC...

                Doesn't paint a pretty image.

Then again, BC wasn't developed for newbies who are clueless; that's why there's Muse - but it really would be nice if one didn't have to go to an external site to learn the basics of BC just to be able to offer the platform for sites built in Muse...

Suppose this approach is just "easy money" for them though isn't it?

                Just sayin'...

Think what you have to say and its probably already said, logged etc. BC is going through infustructure work this year so it likely not to see many changes.

In terms of videos etc BC has gone through some key interfance changes and more so videos would be already outdated if they were to do them.

You are not wrong though, I personally think a number of the 3rd party guide places do not have good information about how to Build BC and official is always best but I do not see that improving any time soon so 3rd party is your best bet for a while.
